RN-21/22

RN-41 (w/ANT)

RN-24(CHIP/SMA)

RN-31(audio)

Features & Benefits

  • Postage stamp sized modules, 15mm  x 22 mm.
  • Castellated SMT pads for easy and reliable PCB mounting.
  • On board stacks/profiles make integration simple (no host code).
  • Complete embedded solution, simplest mode requires only 4 pin connection ( TX, RX, VCC, GND).
  • Sustained data performance of >100kbps bi-directional.
  • Advanced features such as auto pairing, and auto connect master, enabled using Programmable IO pins.
  • Fully configurable with simple AT style commands locally over UART and remotely over Bluetooth.
  •  Low power consumption, 1ma standby, 5/25/40/60ma connected.
  •  Bluetooth v1.1, 1.2, and 2.0/ EDR compliant.
  •  On board ceramic ANT(S) and external SMA ANT(E) versions.
  • Audio support (RN-31).

The RN-41 Class I module is available with on board chip ANT (RN-41).    The RN-21/22 are also available with an additional carrier board (RN-24), which has voltage regulation, status LEDs, thru hole pins/headers, and chip(S) or SMA (E) Antenna options.   The RN-31 has built-in codec and analog interfaces to support Bluetooth audio - A2DP, Handsfree and Headset Applications.

All Roving modules with on board stacks and profiles use the standard Bluetooth Serial Port profile and is compatible with all clients running under Windows, PalmOS, PocketPC, Appleand other platforms.
